Retinal detachments occur when part of the sensory retina is lifted completely off the underlying layer.
Almost all patients with retinal detachments require surgery to put the retina back in its proper position. There are several ways to fix a retinal detachment. The appropriate type of surgery and anesthesia (local or general) to use depends on the characteristics of your detachment.
Treatments for retinal detachments include:
- Retinal Eye Surgery
- Cryotherapy
- Laser eye surgery
